When you travel to Hawaii you need to experience the diversity of your chosen island. If it is O'ahu you have made an excellent choice.I have traveled to the island on nine occasions and have an experienced take on the island.I have summarized some of my Hotel experiences at to help you with your first point of call - which Hotels to stay in Honolulu.
The Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, besides being located just across the street from the world's most desirable beach, the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel has a few more fun features! Rooms are appointed with hip Hawaiian retro art and furniture. Bright tropical colors remind you of where you're at - year-round, sunny Waikiki! After surfing Waikiki (or lounging in the sun, sailing or dancing at a beach bar), you can surf the web on the flat panel TV in your room.
Also...bands performing under the stars in front of a 30-foot stylized volcano add to the fun and Hawaiian style ambiance. In the morning if you want to head straight to the beach, grab the hotel's free take-out breakfast.
The Outrigger Reef is a famous landmark in Honolulu, this ocean-view, Waikiki hotel spent $110 million on its beautiful revamp, which reflects traditional Hawaii and elegant, modern tastes in its restful, ocean-theme decor.
The hotel is just a few steps from Beach Walk (also newly renovated with luxurious hotels and exciting night spots) and a short stroll from Kalakaua Avenue's Luxury Row. The poolside dining is complemented by award-winning Hawaiian musicians.
The Outrigger Regency on Beach Walk have one to two-bedroom, beautiful condos with their full size kitchens are located on the new and exciting Beach Walk. Each room here reflects the chic of nearby Fashion Mile (Luxury Row). Also, there are amazing views of the ocean and Honolulu's city lights.
At The Royal Hawaiian you are treated like royalty at the gorgeous and romantic resort known as the "Pink Palace of the Pacific." The Royal Hawaiian Resort reflects the gracious charm of 1920's travel in Hawaii and continues to play host to the rich and famous. Overlooking the world's most famous beach, the resort manages to provide a quiet, insulated atmosphere. The epicurean experiences at the Royal Hawaiian's Azure restaurant are not to be missed.
The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel is best known for its breathtaking ocean views, new infinity pool, award-winning culinary offerings and the Helumoa water playground, the Sheraton Waikiki is newly renovated, trendy and sophisticated. Each of the rooms and suites have amazing views of the white capped surf, the majestic, green Ko'olau Mountains and Honolulu's lights. The Sheraton is one of my favorites it is walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium, as well as to world-class shopping, dining and entertainment.
