Salinas, Ecuador - The World's cheaper Beach Resort

Some call it a bit '"Miami", but, in addition to sun sand and surf, it's really nothing better than Miami. Then again I've been here in low season.

During high season, I was told, the beaches of Salinas are so jam packed with people virtually every inch of sandy towel, umbrella, or oil-slicked body is covered. The roads are carried by vehicles crossing the fans clogged with sand, and the Malecon is wall to wall with everything from ice cream vendors hawking eye cups andEarrings shark tooth on a stick, warm grilled shrimp.

Are you the least bit agoraphobic in December then the season from mid-May, the date, place to go to Salinas, Ecuador's Pacific coast favorite.

About 90 miles from Guayaquil, Ecuador's largest city, has long been a destination vacation home to Salinas, Ecuador. Glittering skyscrapers condominiums line the beach road. seafood restaurants and trendy trend of life during the night. (Even inslow season in the streets at night with young people to see and be seen to be crowded.)

Unlike Miami, however, is a relatively small city of Salinas. The beach is almost perfectly in half by a quay, where the docks of the Yacht Club Salinas divided find. The bay's crescent-shaped sand on the north side, where the abundance of the action takes place is Salinas Beach. To the south is oriented Chipipe Beach, quiet family.

As you would expect most of the activities here in the middlearound water sports, deep sea fishing, whale watching, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing, parachuting, paragliding, surfing and Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship was held here last spring.

Despite the variety of activities, the salt, but can be one of the least expensive resorts in the world. A beautiful private room in a nice boutique hotel one block from the Malecon A single can be had for $ 30/night for. A meat or fish dinner in one ofthis stylish restaurant will cost only € 5 or $ 6. Chow or cooked fish or shrimp, any way you like, the local Mercado, more than you eat for about $ 2.50.

And those blocks that I mentioned? I found a new eighth floor, with floor to ceiling half-moon In view of this beautiful bay. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a maid quarters, it is priced at only $ 130,000.
